core 2 in dell

It'll work

Dell says they use "Intel 945P" for the chipset in their Dimension 9100s, and Intel says that the 945Ps support C2D. However, I know that some chipsets "support" C2D officially, but it's really crummy. I don't remember which couple chipsets that is, you'll have to wait for someone else that knows, or just google it yourself.

I am afraid this is correct you can check the Dell forums but as I remember there is no way to use CD2 with the 9100 series :frown:
