Ok, I'm probably just not looking hard enough or in the right place or something, but I want to see what the Core 2 Duo stock hsf looks like. Are they all the same? If not, I am most curious about the lower end models, mainly those with 2MB cache but specifically the E4300.

Ah, I see; makes sense, I mean if it's good enough to cool down one of those monster Pentium D's, should be excellent for cooling a Core 2 right?

You can find a pic of them at the Intel store on Intel's website. They also sell older model heatsinks and thermal grease too.

Sort of, unless you really want to OC to a really high clock. Stock cooling usually stops the Core 2's at about ~2.9 GHz, right? (Need someone to verify that, though.)

The correct name of the Intel HSF is Sanyo-Denki C25697-001.

From here . A nice large pic also and a comparision of the stock HSF with 3 Cooler Master HSFs.
