Core 2 Duo SSE

I would just like to confirm that a Core 2 Duo has 2 SSE engines. A quad core would have 4 SSE engines.

I think so, since Intel's product brief said that there are two(or four in quad core) independent processors sharing L2 cache.

yes you are correct I have a qx6700 it does have 4 SSE engines.
