core 2 duo overclock overheating gfx card? (repost)

i posted this in video as well...


is it possible that since i have my c2d 4300 overclocked about 850mhz that my graphics card is overheating and crashing the gpu as a result? i have to underclock the gpu/mem speed of the card and raise my agp voltage just to run games like fear/farcry/call of duty without having them crash. my gfx card gpu runs at 380mhz normally, but atitools shows that it gets artifacts at anything above 340mhz.

anyone think its because of the FSB overclock?

I think asrock775 vsta is one of the motherboards that can't run pci/agp asynchronous from FSB. In other words since you're running FSB at 300FSB your PCI/AGP frequencies are all out of whack.
