It can be. I remember Compgeek showing a benchmark of a 3 ghz Conroe ES vs a 3 ghz s939 Opteron some time ago which had the Conroe whipping up on the Opteron in Oblivion and FEAR. It was pretty damn impressive.

Conroe has in fact met expectations.

Nice OC, by the way. How stable is it? Have you run Prime? That Gigabyte motherboard might be one of the few that is stable at this early date.

10 fps in Oblivion at that resolution with those quality settings is huge.
