There is some form that you need to fill out, to describe the things to which you are claiming copyright ownership. I believe it must be notarized, but I'm not sure if it need be "filed" with any agency or something. If you just put "Copyright" at the bottom of something, that isn't enough. >>
Thank you, and thanks for all the replies, people. That's what I thought. My friend was telling me that I shouldn't post guitar tabs online without copyrighting them. He just wrote something about being copyrighted at the bottom of his web page, as if it made it special...? That's why I wanted clarification on this - if I actually did just write copyright at the bottom of my tabs, that wouldn't mean very much now would it!
