Copying XBOX Games?? Possible??

Yeah, you just need to contact Microsoft and they will help you out. They're pretty friendly about this type of stuff.

i heard rumors that a non moded xbox would be able to read cdrws burnt at extremely low speeds, im talking 2x here. but who knows

You dont even really need a modchip anymore.But yes it's possible.I buy all my Xbox games(really I do)but there are some really cool things you can do with a modded Xbox besides pirating games.

While this is true and I did perform the font hack, MS has announced a Dashboard update. It remains to be seen if they will close the exploit with that update. As long as you don't need Xbox Live you will be fine until they package the update with a new game that removes the exploit then you will be SOL.

Yeah I saw that about the updated dashboard posted on another BBS yesterday.Wont matter to me though,I dont use Xbox Live!(no BB out here)and I used the audio hack.Plus I have a untouched Xbox I can play on Live! if I ever get BB.

If you are gonna play on Live! you will want to look into a mod chip that can be turned off.

What you might want to consider with the audio hack is that MS could piggyback the dashboard update on a new game. That would serious screw some people over. I am not saying they are going to but they could.

I did the font hack like 3 days after it was released. I am glad I didn't run into all the problems people had with the clock reseting. I eventually just did a TSOP flash. I never plan on getting on Xbox Live and the TSOP flash has all the features I wanted.

The next XBox Live update from MS is scheduled for Aug 14th. I'd be interested on what they change, although I have an unmodded XBox. Sh!t, the only game I've been playing lately (since the game was release) was Capcom vs SNK 2 EO! That game freakin' rocks!

I played KOTOR when it came out. Thank god I had a modded xbox. Otherwise I would have lost 30 hours of gameplay to a bug in the game. Bioware still haven't released a solution that can fix everyone. With my modded xbox I was able to hack the saved game and continue playing it.

YES, very possible, but it's illegal one thing (i never really cared if it was illegal or not) and u have to download 2-3 gig games from irc or ftp, irc is the best way to go if u don't know where to get ftp's (ftps would be higher end) but some guy i know on irc does it and he has x-lite 2.2 mod, check out www.xbox-scene.com FULLL of usefull info and read up 😀, u can also place extra hd's in the xbox for extra storage, he said he got 18 games on in 41 gigs 🙂, good luck with this, but do it at your own risk, i'm not responsible for you 😛

You have to have a modchip to 'backup' Xbox games as normal PC DVD-ROM drives cannot read Xbox games. There's a way to hack a certain model of Samsung DVD-ROM drive to be able read Xbox DVD-ROMs but it still requires some special IDE commands to read the game data.

I think I skirted away from underground information here to avoid trouble. The short version is that your best bet is modding the Xbox and copying via FTP.
