Copying save games on Wii (rayman 2)

This is more specific to the new Rayman Raving Rabbids 2... as when I try to copy the save game, it tells me I can't do it.

I remember reading something about this for another game.. but can't find it for the life of me.

Anyone experiencing this at all?

I can't copy Galaga 90 VC game saves either FWIW. I think some companies just decide to lock down files for no good reason.

i could not copy my guitar hero 3 save game on my wii to an sd card. other games copied fine though. i posted this a week or two ago. only reply i got was some games just cant be copied.

sigh... this is going to be painful... I'm going to have to unlock everything at two different systems... and none of them mine? The only reason I can maybe think is they want to prevent cheating? geez...

The things I hate about this phenomenon is that...

1) I can't take my gamesaves over to a friend's house and play them back on their Wii.

2) If I spend several hours playing a game and making progress, I want the #$%^&* opportunity to backup said gamesaves. You never know when your console is going to die.

yeah, point 2 is another big one. the SD card i have in the wii is just for that. The problem is it's painfully annoying to delete and copy every time since there's no overwrite.

c'mon nintendo, release a firmware with a freakin "backup the internal flash memory" option.

#1 was exactly the problem i had with GH3. was gonna take it to a friends and work on my career and stuff but couldnt. my console came with a 1gb sd card in the bundle and it has yet to ever be used.

That would be so awesome. Even if it's encrypted, I'd like to have a disc backup option that takes a snapshot of the whole 512MB internal memory and saves it to flash.

I'd love to see that option. I tried to backup all my saves before I brought my Wii in for service the other day and it was a huge pain deleting, copying everything. At one point I thought something went wrong because it took a good 10 mins for Paper Mario to transfer over.
