Ok, so my computer is telling me my C: drive is about to burn out. I went out and bought a new WD 80gig special edition drive to replace it. I have in my system now 2 40 gig hard drives, one working find (D) and one about to go (C) I have copied all my data from the d dice to the c drive and now want to clone the c drive on the d drive and then pull the c drive, swap the d to c and install the new drive as my data/games drive in the d position. I dont have norton clone and cant afford it, how do i go about this
Thanks Ari

You can order Norton Ghost for around $10 online. Go to Pricewatch and search for it. You really should get this program; it will make things infinitely easier.

The old version of Western Digitals Lifeguard tools will work with any HDD for a partition copy, and if you can find it....it's free.

Have you checked out Data Lifeguard from Western Digital? It's free, and I did a couple of drive to drive copies when I recently upgraded to the WD 80GB SE.

Thanks, the western dig program was exactly what i was looking for. thehardest part was finding a 3.5 disk, I had to run out to knikos and buy one ($1.5 a pop, ouch). Anyway it worked perfectly, easy as could be
