That's really messed up. They should put those three cops in jail in the general population, making sure to know that the rest of the general population knows that they were cops. That would result in appropriate punishment.

Raw Story first pointed out on Tuesday that Capt. George Brown, a state trooper, shared a few tips for women in an interview with local NBC News affiliate KJRH. Brown told the KJRH anchor that women can keep their car doors locked and speak through a cracked window if a trooper approaches them. If the trooper asks a woman to get out of the car, Brown said, she can ask "in a polite way" why he wants her to do that.

and when he breaks the windows and tases her she can lose control of her bowels involuntarily.

Sure, you placed your trust in us to protect and defend you, and sure, we violated that trust when we raped you, but in our defense, you were speeding...

I missed the posts supporting these guys, who was it?

Is it possible to support cops and not support cops who rape and sexually assault people? Or, is that all cops. Can we base our opinion on an entire group based on the select few we hear about? Because, if so, I know a group that is all thieves! And that group is:

Gypsies! >_>

Even sadder is all the ATers that support these cops.

I have never seen one person who supports rapist police. Not one.

Now I'll push people's buttons and say I agree with the cop. Can anyone intelligently explain why I'd say that? No, I don't support rapist police, so that doesn't qualify as intelligent. This isn't rocket science BTW.

Do you not understand how people can infer that corruption in law enforcement is systemic when your own spokesperson comes out seemingly blaming the women for their own sexual molestation?

So, I can't support police in general without supporting the Oklahoma Highway Patrol's actions and responses to said actions?

And, let's be honest, for the most part he is correct. If you don't want to be harassed by police, don't willingly get into situations that give them a reason to harass you. I know, obeying the law is really hard.

I will say this for Oklahoma, at least the cops aren't on duty any more, so many times nothing at all happens to the bad cops.

I know when I was a teenager there was another round of sexual assault by cops/impersonators in Oklahoma. That time the women who were pulled over were targeted and not pulled over for any true violation, so the recommendation to follow traffic laws is bunk.

Cops would gain a lot more trust if the good cops started making sure the bad cops were punished, instead they usually protect the bad one and justify the actions.

So you think that a police officer who is willing to violate the law in order to sexually assault or rape a young woman is going to be a stickler for the rules when it comes to whether or not she's done something to warrant getting pulled over in the first place? That's the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard.

Do you think a burglar, who is willing to violate the law in order to burglarize your house, is going to be a stickler for the lock when it comes to whether or not it as engaged in the first place?

Of course, if someone is so willing, they will do it regardless of the circumstances. But, criminals are fucking lazy as shit and look for the easiest targets they can find. That includes criminal cops.

How many of these sexual assaults started as legitimate traffic stops and escalated into rape when the cop realized it was an attractive female, who was nervous and alone?

I have no idea, and neither do you since you cant prove anything like that.

Are you arguing that there are a lot of cop sexual assaults because of traffic stops? I'm not sure you really wanted to go there, but too late. Yes, I agree with you, this happens a lot. Furthermore, they are very likely to get away with it.

Do you think a burglar, who is willing to violate the law in order to burglarize your house, is going to be a stickler for the lock when it comes to whether or not it as engaged in the first place?

What a terrible analogy. Of course you shouldn't speed or you should lock your door. NOBODY is arguing otherwise. But that's not WHY you get burglarized or raped by a cop. The reason WHY you got burglarized is that there is an asshole burglar who wants your stuff and he should go to jail. The reason WHY you got raped is that there is an asshole cop who wants your "stuff".

The fix isn't for everyone to stop breaking traffic rules. The fix is to jail the rapist. Yes, even if he is a cop.

They got raped. Not harassed. Raped.

There is never ever ever any reason to rape somebody. Not because they were speeding. Not because they changed lanes without using their blinker. Not ever.

Having a tail light go out in the middle of your drive home warrants it. Don't want to get raped, better install a backup electrical system with extra lights in your car!
