its been like this for as long as i've been here. what do you expect when 75% or more of the population are drug users?

Around when they started using tasers on 8 year olds. The threads when cops do something stupid tend to have a lot of anticop, but the ones with justifiable or even borderline stuff tends to just have a couple of nutty anticop people.

ATOT is just about extremes. Cops are either sanctioned terrorists with badges or saintly angels descended from above who disperse fair justice to all.

There can be no in-between.

Any forum/audience that is heavily overrepresented by young people (late teens to mid-20s) will be anti-cop, anti-authority, anti-anyone who doesn't let them get away with whatever the hell they want to do.

Hell, I was one once, though I had pretty much grown out of that phase by my early 20s. Like most everyone else, I made the miraculous discovery that as soon as I stopped breaking the law, emulating sub-cultures that have a high degree of criminality, and frequenting hang-outs that are popular among those with a penchant for criminality, the cops pretty much stopped hassling me. Shocking!

Give them time. Some will never grow up, but most of them will.

Those people were disputing that the cop intentionally "murdered" or shot the indisputably unrestrained and resisting adult with long criminal record in the back of the torso (not the head). In fact, the prosecution's argument was the BART cop shot Grant out of anger BECAUSE he was resisting, which the jury categorically rejected (i.e. even the prosecution did not dispute that Grant was resisting).

Way to prove your own point but for the crazies who are anti-cop (and can't even get the essential/basic facts straight).

i want to see the tape. Prob had good reason! I think only 5-10% cops are prob bad. Didnt know ATOT was 100% against anything. Its called a opinion because everyone has diff one.

Maybe you're seeing a bias because most of the threads are about cops who did something (almost) clearly wrong in the eyes of a rational person. We don't have many threads about cops saving kittens in trees.
