Cops snatched guy's phone away while he was filming, then slammed him down and he is

That wasnt what I was saying. What I was saying is we will see a similar reaction from the white community when cops treat us like they treat the black community. That is harass us for everything under the law.

My mistake. Thanks for clarifying.

This is a shockingly short sighted post. You understand everyday most of us commit a crime worthy of arrest? With so many laws on the books all it takes is a dedicated enough local police force to oppress the local population via the law.

AH, is that what's happening in the Asia community? They are a minority as well, however for some crazy reason, they make up an insignificant portion of prison population and do not get "harassed." I wonder why that is. Weird.

Asian people are in a unique position to be "not minority enough" and, at the same time, "not white enough". They are carefully removed or not mentioned when anyone is discussing a minority "problem" they defy and they are completely forgotten when it comes to reaping any benefit of being a minority. Yet, despite that, we don't see a large number of them complain.

You better watch out when you say good things about Asians or certain poster(s) will be butt hurt and try to spin into something else (that you NEVER said).

See this thread = http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2413669

About this thread as "race bait" or not, I will leave this here =

But you might never know that from the story told by demagogues who depict the black community as a “colonial” society being “occupied” by white policemen who target young blacks.

Who said that? Some guy name Thomas Sowell. Race bait, eh?

No it's not. Two facts for you. Blacks are by far the minority compared to whites. Blacks are by far a higher percentage than whites in prisons. You can try to claim that it is because whites oppress blacks, and that laws are stacked against them, yet facts don't lie. Claiming that these facts are true because of some bias is just ignorant.

You may want to attempt to back up that claim that most of us commit offenses that we can be arrested for everyday. I know I don't. I have been arrested before a few times, long ago.

This. I'd like to know exactly what laws I am likely to be breaking every day. Fun fact: I don't speed and I've never intentionally ran a red light in my life.

Chances are high you gamble, get a BJ very once in awhile, try to avoid a tax, jaywalking or may even toss out mail sent to your address with a former tenants name. If you video a police officer it is still a crime in many states worthy of arrest.

This is a small sample of obvious laws.

The not so obvious laws are situated within 27,000 pages of the US criminal code. These laws are obscure and or not enforced. However if a police dept decided to harass people they can find a way.

They are a hell of a minority in NYC. Don't know where you live but they have their rights just like every other group here. But, you are right, they don't complain too much and stay in the shadows. That hurts and helps them, depending on the situation.

He didn't...maybe because he:

1) did not punch the cop
2) did not try to take the cop's gun
3) did not charge the cop with full speed

Just saying.
And if a white guy does any of those 3 things they get tasered.

Just saying.
