Friends from Louisiana (Baton Rouge) sent me this story and from what I saw, the guy (in bright red shirt) did not do anything wrong (for now from the evidences that I was able to see so far).

In his official report, the officer wrote that as he and other officers first arrived, they spent nearly 10 minutes trying to clear the crowd, repeatedly ordering them to leave the area. He said Clement was advised to leave and did not.

"The crowd was not moving and another officer grabbed someone next to the defendant (Clement) to arrest them," the officer wrote.

He also wrote that Clement "jumped on that officer and began pushing that officer off of his friend."

Clement said that is not true. The portion of the surveillance video he provided to WAFB does not appear to support the officer's claims. Police declined to say whether any other portion of the surveillance video they have reviewed supports the officer's version of events.

It was only after police protocol *severely* violated my rights (amplifying an extremely emotionally trying time, in my own home) did I become a very outspoken advocate. I think you mean very well off people, regardless of race, can do all that stuff. The cops, at least generally, don't target the upper class the same way they do the lower class.

There is a good reason too. You see the cops like to take your stuff and keep it/ sell it for their own use. Rich people, despite having nicer more valuable stuff, have very good lawyers who can either get said stuff back or make it such a hassle and time consumer that it simply isn't worth it. Easier to take some middle class joes shit who can't afford big time lawyers and its even better to target lower middle class.

There are a lot of departments who have hired additional officers funded solely from forfeiture. Those cops jobs quite literally depend on taking shit from the citizens they serve so they are obviously uber motivated to, wait for it...... wait for it....., take your shit regardless of justification since the civil forfeiture law is retardedly skewed in the favor of them.

Eh... when we drop below 50% it still won't be remotely the same.
I don't expect a 40% population to live the life of a 12% segment. Particularly when there won't be a new 50% or greater majority for quite some time, if ever.
Moreover, we have made progress at establishing rights and protections for minorities, even if that work is not yet complete.

You are deciding whether or not white americans are a minority or majority by treating asians, latinos blacks et al as a monolithic group. That makes zero logical sense and is simply not the way government defines racial makeup. It's not colored vs. white. That would be an incredibily ignorant and simplistic view of society.

what statistics? if you see one area is high crime, it makes sense to focus police efforts there. the statistics drive the police presence.

This is a shockingly short sighted post. You understand everyday most of us commit a crime worthy of arrest? With so many laws on the books all it takes is a dedicated enough local police force to oppress the local population via the law.
