And stories like this are why I really question why people want to give up more of their freedoms and their own lives to people like this. Disarm our normal folk! Give the government more power!

Welll, here it is. These guys are the government. These guys are the ones you want protecting your life when you're no longer able to protect it yourself.

Fuck that.

Yup.

Disarm the citizens and let these assholes be the only ones allowed to carry guns. Good idea, liberal morons.

Sorry Arkaign, IMHO that is exactly the wrong response. Most cops are fine and descent human beings, so why judge an entire group for the sins of the few.

In the case of those Bridgeport cops caught on video, they need to be fired, and hopefully imprisoned for their actions.

After that, the tax payers of Bridgeport will pay the forfeit in lawsuits, as I cannot believe the chief of Police in Bridgeport saying these were the only two rotten apples in his department. When its far more likely that said chief fostered that culture of cop violence by always looking the other way.

But thank God for video evidence, when citizens have to police the police.

Wrong. All cops are bad cops by virtue of allowing these types of things to go unpunished. As citizens you and I would be in prison right now for an act like this, but cops get a slap on the wrist because the entire system is corrupt. Yours is just typical leftist thinking that somehow government employees are a better breed of human and therefore have the right to rule us mere mortals.

I have a lot for friends that are cops i hunt and fish with. I sponsor a FOP golf tournament even though i hate golf. They protect their own no matter what and go easy on guys that sponsor them and respond instantly. Hence my bribery. U call that just and decent? Just another gang dude in blue.

There are a couple Wyatt Erps in our 110 person dept, honest and by the book as day is long but they are shunned and held over for leadership promotions. Doesn't pay.

I tend to believe that, I wish it weren't true, but the argument that having a gun because cops are corrupt is odd.

Exactly correct.

If you get a LEO in the correct environment (retired and drunk) they will tell you how things really are in every police department across our country, and it is the PERFECT description of a gang and gang mentality.
