Ok.. so im talkin to my coworker...he said he was a victim of road rage and this is what happened to him
I was driving home today, I wanted to make a right at the coming light, so I started going in the right lane of the road. I was traveling at the speed limit and I went into the right lane. The car behind me started tailgating me. I made a right and so did he. He kept on following me pretty close. We went about a couple of miles where I stopped at the traffic light in the left lane. That person was going straight and was in the right lane couple of cars behind me. We are stopped at the light and he comes out of the car and walks towards my window. He starts rambling and he looks pissed off. I did not know what he wanted. To avoid an incident, I shut the window. He then started banging on my car, at that point I was MAD. He had no right to do that. He banged on my car three times, and then when I opened the door to get out, he went back to his car, but made a dent on my trunk on his way back. The light turned at that point, he drove off. I was in shock, I could not believe what just happened. I noted down his license plate number.

There was a cop a couple of blocks from that intersection. I went straight to him and I told him what had happened. He asked me to file a report, which I did.

I am going to get en estimate on the damage. It looks like the only visible damage was the dent on the trunk. I don't know how much it is going to cost me. I hope I don't have to pay for it.

so he jsut added that he went and filed a police report and the cop gave him the perp's name and address.
are cops just allowed to give out name and address like that if you file a police report? shouldnt the cop have gone and checked his side of the story first? i mean the road raging guy was still a jerk and deserves to go down...but my issue is with the cop giving out name and addresses like that....bad things can happen....

he's gonna get the address either way in the end, so it does not matter.

This is just a lesson why you don't be stupid and get pissed off at little things, as well as why you should not piss people off. ;)

It's times like this I'm glad I have a truck. I'm waiting for some ass to do this to me so I can put my truck in reverse and slam into his car. I could car less for fines, etc.

i have personal safety covered. i keep a baseball bat handy in my car. if someone comes up like that, i grab the baseball bat...then get out. funny to see the expression change on the other guys face as soon as they see me sportin a bat
