Copperhead bit my dog

My Brittany started going nuts on the driveway near the garage. My wife went out their and found him going at a snake. She saw that it looked like a Copperhead so she killed it with some hedge clippers. About 3 minutes later my dog started acting strange and got real lethargic. Then he started breathing hard and wouldnt move. We had to take him to the 24 hour emergency vet. They are giving him IVs and keeping him overnight. Looks like he will be ok but its going to cost me about $300.
 
I hope your dog is alright. That seems like a bargain to keep a member of the family healthy. 🙂
 
maybe you should ask for paypal donations to help pay for it. I garauntee someone would take pity on your situation

Damn snakes.....especially copperheads...those mother scratchers are so damn temperamental....you might walk over or by them two or three times and not even know they are there....then suddenly WHAM they get you. Sorry ass bastards!! Can't stand em....my parents own quite a bit of land out in the country and in the summer it's crawling with damn copperheads.....I take great pleasure in offing them with my 9mm. Lousy ass wastes of skin....why in the hell....oh sh1t I jut hate em!!!

They have cat insurance too...it's actually cheaper. I priced it out awhile back but I haven't got of my butt and signed my two cats up. It covers like $15K per year per pet. The last time I checked, I think it was $99/yr.

A few years ago one of my cats found a copperhead in the yard and fortunately was smart enough to keep at a distance while pointing it out to me, and I killed it with a garden hoe.
