Copied DVDs no longer play in DVD player

Ok, I have a Toshiba DVD Player as well as an xbox and other consoles capable of playing DVD. I have for quite some time used ANYDVD+ CloneDVD (both the latest versions) to copy DVD's for my kid who literally destroys discs in no time flat. Recently I've had an issue where the discs no longer play on any of the players. Its the same stack of the same media I've always used and I even tried another (memorex and verbatim)

The recorder is a Lite-On iHAP 322 8 and is pretty new, the firmware on the drive is even newer than the one posted on the liteonit.com website.

I cant for the life of me figure out why the discs would all of the sudden stop working. I can pop them in a pc and play them with vlc media player just fine and the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders are present.

I have attempted to Bit Set to DVD-ROM but this also has not seemed to help (I think I did it right, used a Program Called DVD Bit Set.

Thanks!

Oh, media is DVD+R and before someone asks YES I own the originals, YES they are legal copies but I dont want them in my kids room because he is very rough with the discs.

Burned DVDs can go bad... Most of the copies I made in the past quit working although I bought the cheapest media I could find.

Try doing a PI/PO scan in DVDInfoPro and see how good the burns are. You'll have to google what "good" results are as I don't remember.

I always use -R for DVDs. Also always use Verbatim after bad discs with several other brands.

Tried copying one of the ones that plays in the PC? This might point to poor media or jitter in the tracks that is outside of the readers' ability to handle.

These arent old videos that stopped working, its the new ones I create.
I'm simpleminded. I'd try another burner. They are cheap enough, and if it doesn't solve the problem, you can always use it as a spare. CD/DVD burners don't last forever.

I would but this burner is less than a month old. I just replaced my old one because the tray stopped opening

It seems that its an issue with CloneDVD, even though I upgraded to the latest version. I started using DVDShrink and its working as it should.
