Cop is shot making mv stop

Cops have it hard enough dealing with assholes every day, then one goes and shoots a cop. A shame, really...

Why didn't the other cops that pulled up a little later just shoot the guy?

He obviously injured/killed a cop....what more reason do they need to use deadly force to stop this guy? And he continues to shoot other officers for a while. Just kill the guy and be done with it.

Not saying this applies to anyone who has posted here already, but its funny how you see a lot of "I HATE FVCKING PIGS" threads but as soon as one is hurt/killed everyone's all teary-eyed.

Me, I respect cops for the job they do, but that respect is not universal. If I meet/interact with a cop who is a real asshole, he is a real asshole; not all cops.
***************

Now WTF happened in that? I know the guy shot him, but he went behind the camera and you can't see what he did. Was he the one on the radio? Did he like try to help the cop or something afterwards? I skimmed thru the rest but couldn't get the gist of it 😕

I think cops need to be paid more for the work they do, but they also need to be held to a higher standard than they are. They don't get paid enough to put thier lives on the line everyday, and they deserve more for it. However, there are far too many of them that are abusive of thier power, who don't deserve that power. We need to do a better job of weeding out the bad cops while better rewarding the good ones.

If he didn't pull the guy over he wouldn't have been shot.

I kid, I kid.

I don't think anyone 'hates cops' so much as they hate getting caught breaking the law.

what happened? no audio at work. is there a story to go with the video?

I had the audio pretty low, and I couldn't really tell what was going on either... There seemed to be a lot of walking around.

For once, I'll actually agree with "fred" on a semi-political issue. 😉

Do we normally disagree? I don't ever remember arguing with you. 🙂

From what I've read, you tend to lean a little more to the left than I do on fiscal issues. To me, you read like a moderate democrat while I tend to be more of a moderate libertarian. I don't think we've argued about it, I just tend to notice things like that. 🙂

SO TRUE!!!

The problem is the bad ones make the job of the ones doing the right thing harder. If a cop over uses their power then to a lot of people all cops are bad. So you get idiots that do sh1t like this and other that just don;t trust them at all.

Like the cop today that was right after a break point where the speed limit went from 55 to 45 real quick on a down hill. How does that "protect" or "serve" the safety of the people of that town? So people see that and get a even larger distrust of police. My grandfather was a cop and things have changed a lot from the time he was a cop to today.

The same is true of every profession.

There are some cops that probably walk back to their car with a smirk on their face after issuing citations, but there are also cops who would rather give you a warning than make you have a bad day. Yes, the fact that they have a great deal of authority can make things a bad combination, and I know that some people aren't as trusting, but if you play by the rules, you really shouldn't have a guilty conscience or feel intimidated.

The DPS Trooper should have dropped him the second raised the rifle in his direction. I wish i didnt watch that, listening to the tropper gasp and gag is too much for me.

I don't understand. If someone came out of their car with a weapon in their hand, I would INSTANTLY empty my whole entire clip into them. Then I would grab my shotgun and blast the guy's head in a few times, saving the last few shots for the genitals.

Joe

That really sucks.

I hate Amnesty International with a friggin passion-- they'll stick up for cop-killers and and gang-bangers over their innocent victims.

Why didn't the cop mow him down. I guess he was afraid of being sued. He should have proceeded to defensive position the moment he saw the guy step out of the car. He was in a much better position as he was already behind his door and could have retreated to behind the car. Unfortunately hindsight (if you are alive to have it) is always 20/20. Crazy guy!

Thats why I am not a cop. I would have plugged him and then just been happy to take a desk job for a few days.

Replace "cop" with any profession and this statement still holds true. Heck, replace it with "people" and it works just fine.
