Cop does good, buy booster seat instead of ticket

We need more stories like this instead of all the hyperbole the media shoves down our throat about police abuse

Exactly the woman was white....as opposed to black.....

Also I didn`t know the word Hyperbole actually means -- the Truth!!

<-- fixed

Truth hurts huh???

Typical race baiting. When all you've got is a hammer, everything looks like nails I guess.

Thanks for the link OP.

I have a friend who is a retired cop and he can tell you some stories......

I guess the threads you create on bad cops are not enough?

How about a compromise - when someone posts a thread about a good cop story, and you happen to find it is false (with proof of course) or just not hat 'good', you come in here swinging you fists of truthitude and as-a-matter-of-fact any good vibe feelings caused by the initially deemed good cop story thread? Does that work??

Suppose if and what if just doesn't frankly cut it. We are all aware of the racial profiling and whatnot - it is known and acknowledged - just like it is known and acknowledged that this officer did something good.

edit: or, hey, at least give us this cop's edit: rap sheet. Do you have anything on him, in particular, that shows he is actually contrary to what he usually does?? Again, give us somehting, other than what is and suppose if.

I don`t create threads...I post the truth.....I am creating nothing! Some of the things that cops do and say cannot be made up!!

Yes, that was a very nice thing that Policeman did!!

Good move by the cop. buuuut this story has a few issues.

The women can't afford $15 to buy a carseat? hell maybe less since the kid would just be in a booster seat.

also if for some fucked up reason you can't afford it to keep your daughter safe there are dozens of ways to get a free one.

it smells like a setup for good PR.

Though i do agree with the cop "a ticket does not solve the issue" if she can't afford $15 how can she afford the ticket? it makes no sense.

The mom and kid were in a friends car cause hers was repossessed since she couldn't make the payments the car seat was in the mom's car when it was repossessed.

http://www.amazon.com/Cosco-Juvenile...s=booster+seat

$13.25 with free shipping.

Oh, and I have purchased this exact seat at Walmart in Santa Clara no less for $12 plus tax.
Yes, but you can't impress a hot single mom with a $12 booster seat. 😀

so? she still couldn't afford to go get a new $15 car seat?
It's been back in college, but I've certainly seen times when I could not have bought a $15 car seat on the spur of the moment. Thankfully I was not making car payments, but still.

Only at AT P&N can this story cause anger in people...
LOL +1

Well, she was sporting a trendy hair cut and semi-designer jacket in the photos.

I bet she could have scored a free booster seat on Freecycle.
Sure - assuming she has a computer, Internet access, and a way to pick it up. (Shit, what am I saying, she almost certainly has a smart phone with an unlimited data plan - the new face of American poverty.)

Still a nice story.
