The fact is he was a criminal, with an extensive criminal history, had a warrant for his arrest, wrestled with the officers, then fled.

So it is legal for cops to shoot someone in the back under these circumstances?

I agree with you that the victim was a douche and his actions most definitely contributed to his own death. Be that as it may, it does not absolve the officer in any way for his actions. I don't believe the cop is a racist monster, just your typical Type-A asshole who snapped. A voluntary manslaughter charge with 10 years in prison seems appropriate in this instance.

I notice the right wing spin conveniently ignores police falsifying a report and tampering with evidence in a crime scene.

Two of the most ignorant posts I have ever seen.

What is really pathetic is the media and other people's take on this.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/04/1...ls-shooting-act-racist-cop/?intcmp=latestnews

Say he was a man of four children and a coast guard veteran. Every comment praises the guy. Then blames the warrant for his arrest as not fair because he can't pay it from jail. Well maybe he should have paid it to begin with an it wouldn't have been 18k. Also states that the officer shot him with the taser then shot him with his pistol. Not mentioning at all about any other facts like the struggle or it looking like the suspect shot the officer with the taser. It is so one sided it's pathetic. So are the minister's comments calling the cop racist based on this one thing. The fact is he was a criminal, with an extensive criminal history, had a warrant for his arrest, wrestled with the officers, then fled. But it's the officers fault for being racist? Please. For idiocy for agenda drumming idiots.

Hi.

You're a racist moron who needs to be kicked out of here, have your arms ripped off and then be beaten with the wet ends.

While I'm going to go with the assumption that you didn't mean this literally, it's still over the top even for P&N.

If the man shot was a violent criminal than I could agree with Ackmed that he deserved to be shot. Mike Brown deserved what he got, a bullet in the face. However, the only thing I've seen so far is that Walter Scott couldn't make child support payments, not something I would consider violent. This situation to me appears to be murder.

Yeah, I pretty much see it this way. I don't see this as cold-blooded murder - I see it as a cop who got overexcited and used far more force than what was called for.

Watched FNS. They spent entire segment trying to prove race not a factor. Tool Britt Hume didn't even remember video shows cop tampering with evidence.

Watch it.

LOL

You and your Fox News. For someone who hates it so much, you watch it and read it more than the people you slam for watching and reading it.

I do watch when these types of issues happen. Want to see how they are spinning.

Just watch the clip and then tell me I'm right. :)

I make it a point not to watch the news, or news shows, or news networks or...well you get the hint.

Seriously man...next time you get the urge to watch one of those shows, watch some puppy videos on youtube instead.

My basic take as well.

Also agreed.

I bet that sooner or later I'll end up reading somewhere that it was an accidental shooting in that the victim unfortunately ran into the path of the officer's warning shots, which is about as good a reason that I've read so far from those that are defending his actions.

You apparently don't read your own posts then.

Look Ackmed, you have competition in stupid posts, better step up your ignorant racist game a bit.

Wait what? So it depends on who the man is rather than the circumstances? o_O

You make it a point to stay uninformed? I recommend the news hour on pbs. That is REAL journalism. They dont cater to liberal or conservative view points and they bring on real experts to discuss issues from both sides (you can tell they are real experts because they dont look like they belong on tv). They also don't give personal opinions and allow the viewer to think about these issues and come up with their own conclusions.

I refuse to only get my news from one source.

Fark.com is my source for news.

That's not how it works. I don't care how violent the criminal is, if he is not a current threat then you can't shoot them.

Why do you think I stopped watching the news?

In all seriousness, you have to watch CNN for the left wing side, fox news for the right wing side, then MSN for the nutjob side, then BBC for the outsider's side. It could seriously be a full time job just trying to figure out what in the hell is going on.
