Cop Charged With Assault After Brutally Beating A 15 Year Old Girl

I have had a few run ins with the police since I live in King County and I will say I hate the majority of them. Most of them are high strung pricks who enjoy power, I've only met 1 or 2 that were decent.
 
At MOST the cop should of just pushed her in more and shut the door. There was no need to beat her up like that. This is the problem with lot of cops, they abuse their power. Force should only be used in a threatening situation. Ex: if she would of tried to escape from his hands, THEN run and jump her or something, but in that situation, it was not needed.

Of course, the cop will have zero charges and there will barely be a case, because he's a cop. If her dad or any other person did that, he'd be going to jail for 15 years for assault and they'd probably try to sneak in sexual abuse charges in there too, just to pad the case more. Gotta love the justice system.

Do I aggree with whatever that girl did to end up in jail? no, but she should not be treated that way either. Unless it was animal abuse, then I would not give a rat's ass what the cops do to a person.
 
Yeah, that's a bit rough. Another case of instant millionaire right there. And guess who's paying for it. You, the tax payers. gg
 
I guess I shouldn't be surprised someone would defend this cop, but that doesn't make it any less stupid. His actions are completely unacceptable, and he should be fired in addition to his criminal prosecution. IMO the prosecutor was wise not to charge the girl with third-degree assault - this is a felony under WA law, and it's just laughable to call this felony assault.

According to the Seattle PI, the officer asked her to remove her shoes; the 15 year old kicked one off in the officer's direction.

This particular officer has been involved in two shootings (one fatal), and has been arrested for DUI.
 
straight up, fuck the police. this kind of shit happens way too often. of course there are millions of cases where police are 100% professional and go their job very well, but shit like this should NEVER happen. we aren't in fucking russia. what's worse is the people defending him. if a 15 year old kick kicks you in the shin you should not feel threatened unless youre a fucking pussy

I read the thread, then watched the video. Holy fuck, how can anyone say that the cop was correct? I liked how at the end, the cop walks in and looks at the wall where he bounced her head off of it. Wonder if he was looking for blood?

How the hell is her kicking a shoe off equal to 3rd degree assault and his beating and battering her equal to 4th degree assault?

Because all you see is that little snipet of video. You don't see everything that lead up to it. But good job on swallowing the 60 seconds of video to make an informed decision.

Both sides will have their day in court and until then we cannot truly judge. I find it rather funny that jpeyton posted this just 10 minutes after the AP article. It's like he is on some anti-cop mailing list or something.
