Cop was just having some muscle spasms, that were healed by the invisible camera force field! Duhhhh. Nothing to see here.

Wow, even the official news cameras get this kind of stuff now. Glad they department took the appropriate action and suspended the cop without pay while they investigate. They said the FBI is involved as well. Strange how shit gets done when official news cameras are involved. Notice the cops didn't beat on the news cameraman and they didn't try to erase the tape. If it was a civilian with an iPhone, the situation may have been different.

Another pig. Should be in prison for assualt. Very clever of him to do it in front of a news camera.

Buffalo obviously has a cancer. 15 (!) cops in buffalo suspended or convicted since 2012 for this kind of thing.

The pedestrian looks to be only 150lbs or so while the cop is 6ft+ 200lb+ and armed. Why he thinks he needs to slam him up against a car, throw him to the ground, step on him, and then start beating him while he is clearly submitting is ridiculous. Cop clearly thinks he's a bad ass. I wonder how many people he assaulted before being caught on camera?

The thing that worries me is how calm the other cop is. No "what the hell are you doing?". No "oh shit, that's a bad guy". Just "Corey, you're on camera".

Again, why there is no such thing as a good cop. They refuse to hold each other accountable. The blue wall means all cops are bad cops.

I've met some really good cops. However, I think its important to point out that there are a lot of bad cops. The sooner people get over thinking that there are only a few bad apples, the sooner things will change.

that was barely a swat, can we at least get angry about the videos of REAL police abuse?

Hope the cop ends up in federal pound me in the ass prison for that. i mean if you just let him go, now it just looks like a random act of assault on the guy.

There are cops who are themselves good cops but until they turn on their corrupt fellow officers for their crimes, they're just as culpable.

Not as culpable, but culpable. I think the majority if cops are willing to look the other way when they see police abuse of power.

exhibit a: percentage of police found to have violated civil rights and the primary evidence against them was from another cop at the scene vs some other source. The simple fact is even the so called good cops are too weak themselves to call out their co workers on abusive behavior.

I have personally never been mistreated by a cop. However I am very sure that if I were his partner would NOT side with me on the matter.

Another reason why cops should be all for cameras. It allows them to escape blame and maltreatment by their peers for stepping outside the blue line.

Eh, not every town has raging corruption. I grew up in a small town with only 15-20 police officers and they were mostly great people. One of them got caught as a peeping tom and was outed really quickly. Department dropped him as soon as they found out. When we used to drink underage, they would just call our parents. No one ever got charged. I remember 2 times that we had to blow on the breathalyzer and they called our parents.

A buddy from high school is a state patrol officer. He's the nicest person you'd ever meet. Depends on the area.

Don't even bother addressing ZJ as an adult, he's not one.

Our Cops around here are great. The only corruption I've heard of is a cop who ordered a guy to the ground just because he was open carrying. No beating,no trying to hide evidence, just made him get down in the snow fir a minute. The cops released the video right away and you could tell the cop just needed training. After that the mayor talked openly about it at city meetings. Nothing close has happened since.

A Clockwork Orange, Alex and the police

I've actually seen it done inside of a police station before late at nite in an incident about 30 years ago I won't overly elaborate on.

First wife, getting Divorce, get in truck after drinking, but not trashed. Had a Buzz I'll admit.

Pass a County Mountie heading to parents house at high speed and just pull over.

DUI, drunk tank, another guy there being loud, the cops pull him out of it and one beats the living piss out of him while 3 others cops watch and everyone in it watches, then throw him back in.

Long story short.

It does vary where you're at, the Largo Police down here are known for being well educated and trained, the Clearwater Police are good, if you go into Kenneth City they are known for being about like I described above.

They guy that is my work manager is a retired cop from up North, he's a great guy.

I'm not biased one way or the other, but YMMV wherever you are, you can just drive in various areas inside Pinellas County down here and it will change.

Sorry got longer than intended, but it wasn't just the story I guess.

this is why we should implement harsher punishments up to death against some of these police brutality cases. If we hold our kids to a stupid zero tolerance policy in schools, then why the fuck don't officers have the same policy. We shouldn't have cops investigating other cops as thats just fucking stupid. Of the different brutality threads we have here, this is a minor one, although it would have been interesting how far it would have gone had he not known about the camera.
