Define constantly clench. I know people who have been robbed and mugged who now see the wisdom of the .380 in my pocket. There's nothing admirable about relying on other people for your personal safety. Nothing inherently wrong with it either, given the luxurious safety of modern western society; but whenever someone claims to be superior to me because they don't carry a firearm and I do, all I see is a little kid who's never had to pay taxes but thinks he knows more about finances than his parents.

That's not to say there aren't idiot gun owners out there, but I would watch your generalizations.

I find it very interesting that people chose this thread to gun bash. A thread about a cop shooting at an innocent person.

So if you are so anti-gun, what happens when your life is in danger? You are going to call the cops? The ones this thread is about? The ones who tried to kill an innocent person?

It's not clear from the portions of the article the OP quoted, but this is the DA's decision. I.e., not to prosecute.

The DA needs to be voted out.

Those cops need to be assigned to desk work permanently, if not fired.

Police procedures need to be re-examined. Police Chief may need to be fired too.
