Interesting.

The thing i'd be interested in is if we could somehow switch out fan they use for a quieter one...

I wish they would test it out with a CPU that puts out more heat than the X2 4200+.

There are other reviews that use a different, hotter CPU. Just google it.

But the one tested was the $400 one, not the $200 one.

Yeah i think this looks like a very good product for me too.

Easy to use(relatively), & should allow for a tad more extreme OCs w/o going too insane...

Only things i see as drawbacks are noise (wtf can't they put a really silent fan on it or allow us to switch fans), price, & condensation....eh that worries me alot.

If you get this Duvie or DasFox, please let me know how you like it.

For once, i can actually get an item i want in Canada, since they company is based just south of me in Calgary :)

For $400, you could probably get a Prometia Mach 2 used, or so I've been told anyway. Maybe $500, who knows.

As soon as I make a few bucks I'm going to get the Eliminator, so I'll keep ya posted, unless anyone wants to make any donations to the Cooling Testing Foundation, LOL. ;)

I got one for 284 at crazypc using a coupon to get 5% off. I had to get the freezone because the eliminator is only made for cpus generating more the 125watts or less...according to charts my QX6700 right now is doing 140ish watts.

Actually calcs show what I likely need for 3.466ghz (13x266) will be 181watts....The eliminator is rated for 125watts..they say dual cores max.

in one of the links it shows eliminator vs freezone and once the chip is oc'd to 2.9ghz with likely plenty of vcore the freezone starts to pull away from the eliminator.

Dual core C2D eliminator looks like it still could do good....quad cores need freezone...

I think I am going to do the mod for the 120mm fan instead of the stock 92mm fan...

Keep me posted.

I'd like to switch out that loud fan for either my 92mm Nexus or 120mm Noctuas, as quietness is imperative for me...

Looks kind of cool, but a product like the Corsair Nautilus or any WCIB is probably going to provide about the same overclock as they can relive more heat. Quad Core and Phase change is a no go right now. It simply puts out too much heat for 24/7 unless you have a crazy modded phase system.

Unless those 2 systems you included are "chilled" systems they wont do better then this Freezone. reviews I seen show it much better at moderate levels then most of the water systems (many better then the nautilus). So i am not see how at high level it wont do better then the nautilus system)
