Hello,
I have a Duron 600 that does a max of 928MHz at default core voltage of 1.6v and remains rock stable.
With a ThermalTake ChromeOrb, the CPU temp is a around 38C (100F) give or take a couple of deg depanind on case temp.
Here is a question: if with the aid of better cooling (a better heatsink; water cooling; peltier) I manage to get the CPU temp down, what are the odds of reaching higher MHz at default core voltage?
Is higher MHz at 1.6v a matter of getting the temp down by, say, 10C or is it more like 40C?
Or is the temp irrelevant, and the only way to go higher is by boosting the voltage?
Thank you,
Michael Chomiczewski
