cooling video card without modding

Hey guys, as many of you know, in the antec sonata, the around the VGA card and the PCI cards remains realtivly stationary, save whatever the video fan is doing. It is heating my case up. Will taking the PCI slot cover off the back of the slot next to my 6800GT improve cooling in it or will it not be worth the dust build up? thanks.

if your worried, buy a zalman bracket fan. simple, cheap..and works great. just a metal bracket + 92? mm fan that blows over cards. think i t has a fan speed control too

If you have positive case pressure and you remove enough of the pci covers that will help get rid of the hot air from your 6800.
Before I switched to watercooling I used to have all the pci slot covers removed and an 80mm fan in there exhausting air. It worked great.
