cooling the Antec 1080 and "best" manufacturers for case fans?

A friend of mine asked me to help him build a new computer, we both agreed on an Antec 1080 (from newegg.com) for now. I'm wondering if anyone has had problems or favors the Antec 1080 case for cooling? I saw a chart recently that showed the Antec pretty high up on the heat factor.

The Antec 1080 looks nice to me (not just the exterior) but for the price on newegg with a PSU - it's promising. The thing about it though, is that it has no front fan support, only side fan support. Of course, there's an optional Antec 1080 with front fan, but who sells that besides Antec?

The second question - what's the "best/worst" fan manufacturer for casing, or the ones to stay away from?

As for case fans the Antec 1080 does have front fans support, it is the redone version of the 1030 case it has 1 intake fan below the HD cage and you can put fans in the HD cage also. They are good cases I have the 830 and my freind has the 1030 {both older versions of the ones they sell now} if you dont need the bigger case go with the 835 II which is the new version of the old 830 it has 2 intake 2 exhaust and can also hold fans in the HD cage. Below is a link for cases that are made by the same people that make Antec cases but cheaper ones that work well like Chieftech. Now for fans I use the 2 fans that came with my case and a couple of Sunon fans for intake, good fans that work well and are quiet are Panaflos.

I have a Antec Plusview 1000, which is basically the same case, just witha side window. The 1080 does have support for 2 front fans, but it only includes 2 fans out of the 5 it can hold. I am running 5 NMB 80x80x25 fans from SVC.com. They flow very little air, but are virtually silent inside a case. Unless you are overclocking a ton or have some serious heat generating devices the NMBs would be fine. The other positive is they are only 5 for $11 at SVC and very cheap everywhere else. If you dont mind a little more noise and the extra price, consider Panaflos. The Antec Truepower 430 that is included with the 1080 is very quiet, so I would try to keep a relatively quiet case fan as well. You also may want to cosider a fan filter on the side panel to keep out dust.

Thanks all for your help! I've looked into the NMB fans http://www.svc.com/80nmb253pinf.html . I keep hearing about some people having problems when ordering from svc, though, but they look reputable enough to me. I'm curious to know what hard drive fans work well, and if side fans are used, does putting a front fan make the airflow unstable? What I mean is this - on atruereview.com , the author says that putting a fan on the side and back works well, but makes no mention of using a front fan as shown

I've ordered from SVC.com a few times (even back when they were CPUsForLess.com). No problems.

My Antec 1080AMG came with the two rear fans plus the side fan (3 total). Also, as mentioned by others, another fan spot in front plus a fifth one in front of the hard drive bays. The fans just say Antec on both sides. I've read somewhere that they were sleeve bearing. I plan to build the system after I get back from vacation and my intention is to run it with perhaps only two fans in the rear, cover the side hole and have no fans in the front.

I got a SX1030b with 4 SVC quadled fans and another SX1030b with 4 PCPowerCooling Silencers. The Silencers our 20dBa and would recommend these for quit and the quadled for visual. In both setups I have the hard drive mounted in the middle of the top intake fan so air goes over the top and botton. The drive (7200rpm, ata133) is cool to touch even after playing games for 6-10hrs.

Good Luck,
