Cooling softwares

I got ABIT KT7A and I've install the VIA HM software.
it seems doesn't have a cooling software.

any suggestions guys ?

You do not need any of these software coolers if you have ACPI enabled in the BIOS (which you should). CPU idling is already built in with your motherboard and Athlon/T-bird combo. Rain, CPUidle, Wincooler, etc., can also sometimes have a reverse effect with your particular system. Trust me, I learned the hard way. They do not work properly with the Athlons, and unless you can find one that is specifically designed to work with your T-bird, they can do more harm than good.

They are also useless if running Windows NT/2000/XP as it includes it's own idle thread.

I think the day of SW cooling is finishing.

just forget software coolers your KT7A with ACPI enabled will be just has good
or if u have not got a supa dupa cooler and heatsink try lowering the voltage in .5 increments
i actually run a 1.2ghz at 1.6v (actual bios reading is 1.55v) and temps dont peak above 42c under load and often idles below 30c .

forget the voltage lowering if u overclock it,just go out and buy a good cooler and heatsink..
