Will a Zalman 9500 be a good choice for the motherboard, P965 DS3 and the processor E6300?

I have the Zalman with my e6400, and the temps are really cool.

@2.8ghz, I'm getting 22C idle and around 28C load

Yes, its a good choice. There are other good choices as well. Comes down to budget I think more than anything else assuming all the choices fit together nicely.

i already built my conroe system. however right now it is only running on stock cooling.

How much of an overclock do you want? You may do well with an ArcticCooling Freezer 7 Pro for under $30. Not everyone needs $60 invested in a CPU HSF.

newegg doesnt' ship to canada.
canadian sites have artic freezer for about 50 -60. might as well get a 70 $ cnd Zalman.

Can any 1 verify this IF Zalman 9500 is compatiable with the P955-DS3 Gigabyte board? As in does it fit nicely

It's not a terribly imposing HSF. I would be very surprised if it had problems fitting in any board with a supported socket mount.
