I have an x800 pro and a general Ideo of what I am going to do to cool it. I am going to duct air in fromte h side and exhaust it out hte back in a duct just fro the card. The problem I keep running into is the heatsink.
What kind of heatsink shoud I use? I am thinkin one of these three ideas:

The new revision of the VGA Silncer soon to come out with the copper core and alu fins

or

A 35-40mm tall heatsink over the gpu and separate ramsinks(Copper)

or

a 35-40mm tall heatsink that basically covers the bottom side of the card includeing the gpu and ram
(not sure about what kinds of milling would be needed to use one heatsink that owuld cover all of these)

Also I am down to two ramsink ideas if I am going to use separate ramsinks:
two of these cut into eight 15x15x30 ramsinks, aluminum.

or

THESEthat are only 16x13x15 but are copper

If a poll woudl be good just let me know, I am looking for more help/ideas that just a "i like #x"

I think youd' get more replies with pics or links to what you're looking at, people (well, me) are generally lazy that way.

I have a 9800 Pro, i put an Arctic Cooling deal on it, a giant aluminum deal with a fan that pulls air from the case and vents it out the back. Soaks up the adjacent PCI slot, but with sound, network, etc. built in the board I have free PCI slots. I put Arctic Silver underneath it, and used some thermal epoxy to stick down a set of copper heatsinks. Got it all from SVC for ~ something like $25 (the coolers, as outstanding as they are, were occasionally on sale for like $9.99).

Not fancy, but very easy to setup and make work, reasonably cheap, and I'm very happy with it. Looks nice and clean in the case and works great. Minimal fuss. I like tinkering, but got lazy on this one and went with an easy buy & implement solution, and I'm totally happy with it.

Yeah I like tha Artic cooling Vga Silencer, I had one on my old 9600, I removed all the shrouding and used int to passively cool the 9600. I can't post link of pictures of most of the items as they do not exist and I woudl have to make them. However I did put links in the ram section because they are both readily avaiable.
