Cooling Advice please...

I am swapping out my Athlon 1600 with a Barton 2500. I currently use a Volcano 9 for cooling, but would really like a quieter solution.

My setup:

8RDA+
512MB Samsung PC2700 RAM
Sapphire ATI Radeon 9500 (use Rivatuner to get to 9700 pro)
WD 80GB HD
Antec Performance II SX835II

I don't overclock.

Am looking for CPU, Northbridge, and Video cooling suggestions.

Thanks

Shady hit a homer with those suggestions, that'll get you cool and quiet. I personally have the YS-Tech adjustable paired with my slk800, perfect match. If you o/c, you can crank it up when needed (playing games) and set it so you can't hear it when you don't.

SLK800's are great, but are a little pricy. I think you can get Thermalright AX-7's for cheaper, and they will do just fine for a non-OC'd system.

I just got the slk-800A from kdcomputers.com for 32 bucks + $5 shipping. $5 shipping also included 4 panaflo fans, 4 sets of fan screws, 4 3-4 pin adapters, and some other stuff. Very nice heatsink. Only thing is I just realized that I put the fan on the heatsink to suck instead of blow. Have to fix that when I get home tonight 🙂
