I need a recommendation, I was ready to order an case, mobo and 850 tbird from allstarshop.com. Someone advised me to go with the crome orb for cooling on my mst k7t pro2a mobo. I went there to order it today and it is gone, the only thing they offer is the cool master for tbird up to 1.2 ghz. Is this ok?? Should I go somewhere else for hs/fan?? First system build and wanted something out of box, never done the silver thing, is this difficult??

are you planning on overclocking? If not, the c-orb will be okay. Keep in mind it is one of the lower performing heatsinks(and the coolermaster does outperform it).

Thinking of overclocking in the future, but just want to get one built and working first, never assembled one from scratch.

I have a coolermaster dp5-6h51 on a tbird850 and it does the job very well (40 C on full load, not overclocked however). Easy to install, you don't need to apply any thermal compound and the clip is easy to fix to the motherboard. Consult MikeWarrior or another overclocking veteran for an overclocking solution. Good luck.

I reccommend a Fop32-1 (and if you enjoy the sound of a hair dryer) A Fop38.

They work very well and are inexpensive.
