Cool!
You were thinking of a stapler.
Can it bend without breaking? You said Yes, I say No.
Is it usually colorful? You said Sometimes, I say No.
Is it multicolored? You said Usually, I say No.
Do you use it at night? You said Sometimes, I say No.
Does it use electricity? You said Sometimes, I say No.

That's pretty neat. I was thinking of a wrench. It took 28 questions for the game to guess correctly though. I'll try it again.

Some of the contradictions it gives in the end are weird... for a chimpanzee, it asked if it was a carnivore... i said yes and it said no... i think the AI is interesting but the algorithm could mess up the database if people answer some of the questions wrong... ie if 10 people say a chimp is not a carnivore, then the weight of that statement goes up even though its not right....

Carnivore is only a meat-eater right? Don't chipmanzee's eat leafes?

It didn't guess hubcap until 25 or so. But, some of the questions are hard to answer to describe a hubcap, so, I'll give it props anyway. Time to try again.

I think the biggest problem is that some of the questions aren't phrased well.

While working through on the item of "computer monitor," it asked questions like "Is it synthetic?"

Well, how do you answer that question? The monitor contains both synthetic and non-synthetic parts. The question should've been, "Does it contain any synthetic materials?"

That's just one example, but overall, VERY cool. I'm guessing it works on Baysian algorithms, but that's just a wager. Either way, fun stuff.

Got vampire in 14 tries. Didn't get motorcycle, thought it was an ATV. Close though.

It's an omnivore. Carnivore = meat eater only. Chimpanzees mostly eat vegetables/leaves/etc. and very occasionally small rodents.

When was the last time you saw them feed meat to chimps at the zoo?

I've seen the AI algorithms for this back when I used to program in BASIC when I was a kid. Back then the program was called Animal and it guessed any animal you could think of. If it didn't guess it asked you for questions to describe it. I still have the program btw.

This is so old it was out before some of you were even born lol. The version I saw was back from '78. It's actually pretty simple in how it works. It only memorizes questions, not that impressive IMHO.

It was 0 for 2 when I tried.... It couldn't identify a bike rack and a Van de Graff generator... Two things within 50 feet of me...
