Coolest LOOKING car for under $25-30k US (new)?

Honda S2000 are cool and have 240hp but $32k is the cheapest you'll find one.
Honda Preludes rock has a Vtech 4 cylinder but has 200 hp. You can get one around $20k.
If I were you I'd get a Prelude.
Hondas rule.

If I were in your place, I'd get a '96 Twin Turbo 300ZX, very nice engine, very nice car. You're probably looking for something more practical (and apparently more expensive 🙂)...Too bad they don't sell the Impreza 22B's over here in the states. If you're looking for some luxury - check out the Infinity I30 - very nice car

The Impreza WRX that will be available in the states in March will only have a single turbo though. Not like the twin turbo found in Japan. In addition, if you are going to go with the I30(t) might as well bring in the Acura Tl, CL and CL type S. They are sort of bland looking cars, but probably perform at the top in their category. The TL is a great value. I'm waiting for the TL type S to make it's debut before I purchase one though. How come no one mentioned the new Celica? Pretty sharp looking car...

Impreza looks pretty good.

Integra Type-R (altho u might not be able to find em cause they are limited)
I like japanese integra much more but performance is good.

Mustang GT (or SVT if they make em) - i love how it looks. but they are having a recall and general quality of interior doesnt seem to be up to standards of other companies. But i do love the way it looks.

Prelude . i hate! the front head lights! but if they fixed it, it would be car of choice for me, the lines are just way too sharp.

Audi A4. Very tight car. its just very perfectly tight.

MonteCarloSS - i could be the only person that likes this car 😱 but i like it. (shape, dont know much about its performance)

Audi A4 1.8 QUATTRO

BMW 323is, or ic

Honda Prelude

VW Golf 1.8t =), or the GTI

Jetta VR6

oh ya... FORD FOCUS That's very cool lookin.

Chevy Camerao

'00 Golf 1.8T

'00 GTI VR6

'00 Pontiac Bonneville

'00 Mazda Millenia S

I'm just kidding. Those Pontiac designers need to be taken out back and shot. Car and Driver keeps describing their designs as 8th Grade Study Hall sketches, but no way can 8th grades envy a car with more swoops and scoops than the latest incarnation of the Batmobile.

in that price range and new the sexiest car you will find is the camaro ss, no doubt. mustang gts are very nice looking, too, but just don't have the nice curves anymore. they're too muscle-carish. the accord coupes are nice looking too. i think the maximas are somewhere in there, but not as sexy as the camaro.

A 2001 Mustang GT. The premium package comes with Torque Thrust IIs and all the options. Well, my opinion maybe a little biased since I have a 2000 Mustang GT.

Mustang GT this year... bummer no Cobra's for 2000... next year Cobra is my fav again...

Lots of other kewl listings too though

I'd say either the Mitsubishi Eclipse or the Mustang for sporty cars.

For luxury I'd say the Infiniti Q30 or a low-end Mercedes C Class.

mustangsvt I love the light styling on the current-gen preludes - I guess some hate em and some don't 🙂

supergroove The person who needs to be shot is the person who thinks anybody in their right mind would pay $30k+ for a pontiac when they could get a foreign luxury - this in the sedans of course; a firebird ain't bad if you're looking for great power, but it sure won't cost you $30k+.

At toyota.com now - the MR2 is a nice looking car, and probabaly very fun to drive.... but 138 horsepower? They have to be kidding. For $24k I'd expect more. Sure, the car is light, but I think this thing is badly underpowered, an S2k for about $6k more would devestate this in acceleration at least. Its 0-60 is probabaly in the upper 7's...?

Hmm, just checked caranddriver.com they are saying it is 7.0 seconds. If I was to spend $24k on a "sports car" I would just find this unacceptable. Hopefully it wouldn't cost much to give it some more power, but a "sports car" in this price range should be closer to 6!

Hmm #2, read their official review, 6.8 seconds 0-60...well that ain't TOOO bad...still should be better, but it is a unique vehicle and these little things (like a miata) are fun as hell to drive.

is it 24k for the spyer version? plus you cant really get a s2000 for $30k, its more like $35k since its such a wanted car that you cant get it anywhere

Yeah,
the MR-2 can use the celica GT-S's engine.

The thing is, if they did, I don't think people will be buying the Celica.

Many wouldn't, but 180 horsepower in the MR2 - if the 138 can do 0-60 in 6.8 - 180 would give it a more respectible sub-6 second time. Then it would be fun as hell!

180 hp in a MR2 (~2400 lbs?) will give it a higher horsepower/weight ratio than the 2nd generation M3. :Q

oh shyt! ROFTLOLOL@^$%&^&

anyway, i persoanlly won't get a bimmer or C class, too many ppl drive it already, if you want something special, get the Focus, I really like it. the PT crusier and Echo are, on the other hand, plain FUGLY! ;p

You are kidding right, andy? You say too many people have a BMW or C-class, and yet you want to buy a Focus? *shakes head in wonderment* !!

It's 9:15, I have a test at 9:30, and I'm still posting?? Geez, not a very good student. 😛
