great case. removable motherboard tray. very fine finish but a bit heavy for an aluminum case. no power supply.
it's $129.50 at newegg but they have nice pictures
newegg pics

these are probably leftovers from the compaq xgamer series (i have one btw) that compaq stopped selling (a good computer btw)

you'll notice that the panel at the top does not have audio output. you can actually call coolermaster and they will send you one with front audio for i believe $10. (i did that)

I received mine. Top panel has usb and firewire, no audio as it was mentioned.
The package didn't include screws.
The backpanel with openings for motherboard's peripherals connections is also missing.

This is probably why it's cheaper. Pictures on their site, show it pretty accurately.

Anyone esle receive this item?
Where can I get the backpanel for peripherals?

Thanks

In my experience, the back I/O plates that come with the case never match your mobo and are therefore throwaways. If it does match, consider yourself lucky. If you buy a retail mobo, it should come with back I/O plate. If you buy an OEM mobo, it likely won't come with one. However, you can usually order one from the mobo mfr. With my most recent build, I sent an email to DFI asking how to order one. They replied the next day, and they sent one to me for free! YMMV.

Newegg also has the Centurion 531 (Aluminum Bezel only, the case is steel) for $50.99 + ship. NO power supply and it DOES have audio input (mic) and output on top of the case as well as 2 USB & 1 Firewire port.

Just another option for those of us that don't like doors on our cases. Good deal OP.

Edit: removed steel part to avoid confusion

On mine you can remove the door with your hand, just pull a little handle down and it slides a hinge. It just doesnt look good without the door. I'm not very happy with the swing of the door, I'd like it on the opposite side, but oh well. Master cooler said that they will release a model where you can adjust the door swing to whatever you like.

ah my bad, i remember the lower door for the fans you need a hex tool.

mine is actually sitting in the corner of my apartment unused.
if i had a box i would sell it for like $40. its a good case though, i just dont have anything to put in it right now.

Is the one in the corner the same as the wavemaster TAC-T01?

well it has a compaq logo on it.

that and i called coolermaster and paid them $10 for the front audio module so i replaced that .

still have no idea how to connect the front audio module, it seems to be non standard.

Just got mine and last I looked they were still on sale for 79. Very nice looking case and well built. I recommend for anyone that is looking for a case. The only question i have is about hooking up the power button ect. Im not sure that the connector will work. Anyone with any experience please let me know.

I'm also not sure about power buttons, HD led hook ups, I'm still waiting for M/B and it seems to have different connectors, anyone solve this, is there an adaptor?

That's a pretty hot deal for those who wanted the same case. Personally I'd go for cases w/o front door, with 120mm fans and with side window, but that's just me. 😛

For those who do not like the front door but otherwise does like the case, the design is pretty similar to the Kingwin KT424 cases (did I get that model # right?). The front of the Kingwin is not a "wave" design, but the rest of it is fairly similar. You can get the Kingwin for under $100 and option it with or w/o a side window.

For those who are still interested in the case, my case came with RED POWER LED, not BLUE. I was hoping for blue, but I guess I'll get used to it.
Btw, priced right now at $81.50 which is still hot.

Anyone with this case replace the intake fans for something more powerful? What size, did it fit?

A recap on the case.

-It seems this case is generic, doesn't have Cooler Master Logo.
-LED light is RED in front of the panel, Exhaust fan also has red LED in it (NOT BLUE, as the original one)
-My case didn't come with thumb Screws (Sucks!)
-I/O panel on the top of the case has 2 USB and 1 Firewire (Original has audio too)
-Doesn't come with I/O motherboard tray (but you don't need it, since your motherboard should come with it's own
-Optional Grille/Mesh to replace Top I/o USB and Firewire panel and put in fan is NOT SUPPLIED.

Newegg has some great reviews for this case. I personally, with Opteron 170 and Asus A8n32-SLI, have cooling problems, this case doesn't circulate enough air, holes in the front are too small. For hot systems I'd say consider a different case.

If I had another chance, I'd go for a different case, because: 1. Poor Air Circulation/requires modifications 2. No thumb screws and grille 3. I don't like red LED that much.

However, this case does look very very good.

its not a generic. when geeks buys overstocked stuff they are often forced to remove all logos and branding so the oem manufacturer does not have to warranty it etc. they do it with the hp monitors too.

It's possible.
Are they also forced to replace original Blue LED with red LED? I'm not aware of Original Wavemaster cases with Red LEDs? hmmm

i am pretty sure these are overstocked ones from the compaq x-gamer series. i have one of those in my closet (as my father works for an oem that worked with compaq) and got it cheap.

it also has red leds and no audio output/input on top (all the xgamers had audigy platinum with live drive, so their cases had no input/output bracket on the top part, its an extra part from coolermasteR)
