CoolerMaster or Lian-Li?

OK, I've been set on the http://www.coolermaster.com/index.php?L...0&other_title=RC-830CM%20Stacker%20830]CoolerMaster Stacker 830, bet yesterday discovered a potential problem with its PCI bracket not allowing certain cards to be seated properly. I then started to look at Lian-Li cases, and quickly decided that the http://www.lian-li.com/Product/Chassis/...le_Tower/V_Cool/M_V_C_PC-V1200plus.htm]PC-V1200B+ would be the best case out of their lot for me.

I then started to think about what I could do with it, and thought it'd be cool to put two red cold cathodes behind the grills to the sides of the drive bays, but then thought that'd severely cut airflow, and thought about modding one of the drive bay covers to look like the venting around it.

But this got me thinking about the cooling of the case in general. I want to overclock an Opty 175 as far as possible, with a scythe ninja cooler. I was talking to someone last night who owned an 830, and had OC'd an Opty 165 to 2.6GHz, and load temps were 40 degrees in the Stacker, with a Tt Big Typhoon.

I'm worried that with only one fan exhausting air from the mobo, and nothing pushing it in, I won't get nearly as much cooling in the Lian-Li, I'm also worried that with an Asus A8R32 MVP Deluxe, the scythe ninja might not fit due to the separator between the mobo and the PSU.

So, what are people's thoughts on these two options? Anyone have any experience with the cooling in the pc-v1200+, or even the PC-1000+?

Thanks for your time.

Ishamel, i own the LL v1000 which is essentially the exact same case but not as wide.

overall, i think the coolermaster has better cooling potential but the LL is laid out better for wire management.

The construction and layout of the LLs are why I have 3.

Newegg has my PC-60s for $99 and getting anything more is really up to you.

The Cooler Master must really have something special for $200. I can see the $210 for the LL.

the winner in quality is obvious if you've ever worked on cases from both companies. lian li hands down wins in quality. coolermaster has 'potential' to cool better, but are you REALLY gunna put 9x120mm fans in your system lol. i'd pick the lian li v1000 series, i believe the 1200 series is for e-atx mb's? i might be wrong, but look that up. i'm running the a8r32mvp in mine and my chipset idles at 25C

I'm looking at the 1200 over the 1000 for a few reasons. First, I want to be sure my powersupply will fit, and I can get a longer one later if need be. Second, I hope the extra space will aid in cooling. Third, I think the extra space leaves more potential for water cooling in the future.

Size isn't a problem, I was designing my new room setup around the HUGE stacker, and this is 15cm or so shorter, and 4cm narrower, even if it is as deep.

Only the 1000 comes in the PlusII version, and I can't find that anywhere in Australia :( I would have liked it for the side vent, though. Definately.
