What is the better heat sink and fan for an AMD Thunderbird 1.2ghtz. The Coolermaster or the Thermal Take Chrome Orb. Opinions Please!

Hey Ginky4, go to 2CoolTek.com! Check out the new "Super Orb", that's what I'm ordering.

I just found out that the ORB's don't fit real well on my motherboard with out some modification. I have an ABIT KT7 Raid. I am going to order the Coolermaster.

Yeah, I've heard that KT7's have space problems with Orbs. If you don't mind me asking, where are you getting the T-bird 1.2Ghz from?

Definately neither of those fans are a good choice for a 1.2Ghz Tbird. If you want an orb cooler make sure to get a Super Orb. Also Alpha coolers, and any FOP will do the job just as well.

I was leaning towards a Coolermaster. I have a list that has AMD approved heat sinks. It does list Taisol but not Hedgehog. I wonder why. What makes these Taisol's so good. I see a lot of high marks for them. I still don't know what to buy. I have an Abit KT7 Raid and a 1.2ghtz processor.

from what i heard... the hedgehog has soldered fins which isn't good...and that many are poorly made or something like that...

You cannot go wrong with the super orb. I have replaced my Alpha with a super orb on my tbird 900. I noticed about 4 -5 degree temp difference.
