So I recently bought an Intel SSD drive 2.5" and I am trying to mount it into my HAF 932 case. I bought these brackets to convert them to 3.5" which I can successfully install into the SSD.

My issue now is that I cannot get it to mount into the case on their mount brackets. It is slightly too bulky and will not slide in. Has anyone been successful with these brackets in particular? Is there another option?

Correction: Coolermaster (unfortunately I can't edit the title)

Right now it is just sitting on top of one of the 3.5" brackets. My only concern is if I decide to lug around my case to LAN.

Heya,

I have the HAF922. I also have an SSD in there. I had to take out a single HDD tray and literally screw the SSD (with 3.5" mount brackets) into the tray or it simply wouldn't stay in there (since it has a weird mounting method and the bracket holes and the pin holes for mounting didn't match well). It worked, but I felt like the case was never meant to hold SSD's. Pretty irritating since everything else about the case is straight perfect.

You could try to get a cage for 2.5" to convert from your large 5.25" bays that go unused since there's so many.

Very best,

That is the issue I am having exactly. I can get the 3.5" brackets onto the SSD easily but when trying to get it on to the CM brackets the pin screws don't want to hold the drive correctly and did not align. I am very irritated by this. The worst part is that the shipping to RMA the $6-7 brackets is more than the cost of it!

I wish CM would come out with a 2.5" bracket solution for their cases.

1. Get some adhesive velcro and mount your SSD to the floor of your case, or anywhere there's a blank spot.

2. You can edit the title of your post by hitting "Go Advanced."

I think the 2,5" are new most cases don't have a mount for them. saw some people just use double sided tape and lay it out flat on some surfaces. but the converter d4a2n0k suggests looks pretty good.

The CM Storm Scout comes with 1.8" and 2.5" brackets.
