CoolerMaster cases for less than retail

I too liked the refurb thread, especially since most of those sites are harder to find than the regular retail counterparts.

Pretty good case.

The other thread was locked for some reason...

I got a 534 with 430W psu for $33.99 shipped and a 340 for $13.99 shipped.

When you create an account, there is a selection for shipping method "best way" for $0.00

I will let you know how they look when they arrive.

I would have been all over it for free shipping....but my only option was $18 shipping via UPS. No thanks.

The 534 looks great but where do you find the specs.. I don't see any mention of the power supply.

Wow $26.33 cheapest shipping to Florida

Just an fyi, the locked thread got moved here and unlocked.

Great! I was planning to post in the Forum Issues section asking where they could put this thread because it contained useful info. I wasn't aware that these manufacturers had refurb sections

So what can i expect from refurbished, dents, scratches?

I'm going to make an educated guess and say they were damaged during shipping and returned to the manufacturer who repaired them.

Yes - the "Best Way" free shipping is gone and shipping is $15.00-$20.00

Much hotter with free shipping... glad I bought early.

Shinson,

I don't mind paying $15-$20 for shipping, if there isn't damage. You happy with yours?

BTW which one did you pick up?

Free ship is gone? Darn, there goes that idea. I wanted some more Elite 330s. I'm going to wait until NewEgg has them for free ship with a rebate again, I guess.

Has anyone gotten their CM case yet? I ordered mine on 2/25 with "Best Way" free shipping and the case has yet to come. No tracking number or anything. The company has not returned any of my e-mails, either. =(

Do you think they might get any more 340s in stock? (I haven't received any response to my email.) I think the 340 is a better case than the 330, mostly due to quality of materials, fit and finish, etc. On the other hand, the 330s I've bought in the past included a CPU duct and a fairly nice 120mm case fan (the specs look good, anyway, and it's very quiet), while the 340s I've bought in the past (new, not refurbished) did not include those.

I got my Stacker 810 earlier this week, I placed my order on the 19th so ~2 weeks from order->ship, ~$70 shipped which was even cheaper than buying used. It came with all the accessories, fans, covers, etc. and it looks basically brand new.

how is the quality of cooler master P/S? are they pretty quiet compare to the antec p/s?
Cooler Master "Extreme Power" power supplies are cheap, lightweight, and inefficient compared to Antec power supplies. Also, they don't have PFC. Noise is not a big problem, but any Antec power supply besides the Basiq model is probably quieter. Cooler Master power supplies will become even less efficient over time at a faster rate than an Antec power supply, so they probably won't deliver their rated wattage for the life of the power supply. On the other hand, based on reviews I've seen, the Cooler Master "Real Power" power supplies are very good.

I'll probably get flamed for this, but generally speaking, I think that the problems with cheap power supplies have been exaggerated by people who have never even used them or by people who are a little too obsessive about the quality of their computer parts. There are millions of cheap power supplies in service as we speak, and the vast majority are not causing any problems for anyone. You might not have any problems with a Cooler Master "Extreme Power" power supply as long as you use common sense and realize that it's not suitable for a "high end" system. But it will definitely use more electricity than a power supply that has Active PFC, and personally, I would replace the Cooler Master power supply with an Antec power supply just to give myself peace of mind. (I have several Antecs on hand that I got on sale with rebates, so they were very inexpensive).

I am in the same boat as you...

I purchased on 2/25 and I paid with Paypal. The money has been removed from my bank account, which they shouldn't do until shipped...

I just sent them an e-mail as well..

Please post if you have ordered and received your order and your shipping method.

Customer Service Phone number is (888) 624-5099 8:30 - 5:00 Pacific Time

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have taken the money if it hasn't already been shipped. They may have used Parcel Post, or it's equivalent, since it's much cheaper on larger items. It'll probably show up in a day or two.

Has anyone received any cases? It has been 17 days since my order and my order still says "processing". Money was paid through Paypal on 02/24/2008.

I'm sure it does not take 17 days to ship from anywhere to anywhere else in the US using any shipping method. Even pony express would have been here by now...

If you have received any cases, please post date ordered, model number, shipping method and date received.

Thanks...

I've tried e-mailing them at two separate addresses (customer service, and replying to their initial e-mail), contacting them through their website, calling them at their customer service number, and now as a last resort I'm contacting them through Paypal.
I told them that if they haven't shipped out my case then I don't want it anymore, and I asked them to refund my money. If they don't respond to that then I'll escalate it to Paypal after 15 days (you have to do it within 20).

Actually I couldn't wait anymore, so I went to best buy and bought the rocketfish case @ $48. That thing is huge.
