coolermaster announced baby HAF: the HAF 922

Why not? After having it on my P180 and now on my A05B, I actually prefer it. Only issue might be needing an extension for the 4/8-pin ATX power plug.

If I have to snake that cord all over the place to reach my motherboard and have that computer function the same way as a computer with the PSU on top, then I would rather spare myself that extra bit of impedance (and money) and have a case that's actually suited to my PSU. I got rid of my last case partly because of that. I had cables running across everything (molex running across the mobo to reach the DVD burner) and it was a complete mess. On top of this, that case was a noisy piece of shit.

Having the PSU at the bottom with the fan oriented downwards (and the case obviously elevated slightly so the PSU doesn't fry) increases airflow and even PSU temperatures as its fan doesn't conflict with other fans in the case anymore. You can arrange a much more defined airflow since the PSU in the top back slot simply interrupts airflow, it doesn't enhance.

Plus, if you can route the cables behind the motherboard tray, you can get much better wire management going than in a regular case. Also, I have 7 ultra quiet fans in my case and none of them are connected via Molex. In fact, I have not got a single Molex cable in my case due to my PSU being modular and Molex being the second worst thing for airflow and wire management right after Parallel cables.

Also, get a modular PSU if you don't already have one...

I think it works out better...as shown here.

having a psu on the bottom makes hiding cables much better since thats usually where the empty hdd bays are, and also, you dont want the hot air from your CPU to be sucked in by the power supply since they get much less efficient at warmer temps.
i've had my psu on the bottom for nearly 5 years now.

the HAF922 won't be the same winner the 932 was. the 932 wins because of the ease of mounting a popular triple radiator on top. the 922 doesn't have that so users are stuck with a mediocre double sized radiator w/o room for expansion.

Curious to know what knd of setup you have now, RallyMaster?

Used to have an HX520 inside a CM590 (the one CM case I will never recommend). Now I have a HX520 inside a CM Mystique 632S and a VX450 inside a CM534. I get cleaner wiring with the PSU on top than with the PSU on the bottom.

I use a HAF 932, if you look at the front of my open case you will see the cleanest most airy happy case ever, and if you look at the back you will see a wild jungle of power cables etc. It definitely works, and this case in particular lets you put all the messy cables where they belong, away from where the cool air has to be pushed around.

I hate red LED's - are they hard to change?

You just have to replace the fans, I think.

You could also just snip the wires to the leds that'd be easier, they stick out at each corner enough that u could do it.
