I currently use Xigatek 1283 cooler in a ghetto push pull setup. It has served me well. I plan on putting my current AMD x6 into a second cheap case. Then I plan to buy a nice 2500k for HAF case but trying to debate on which cooler to get.
I recently ordered 2 Scythe SY1225SL12SH 120mm "Slipstream" http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185060
They are way better then I thought. This has lead me to possibly ordering from Scythe for my next CPU heatsink. I was going to get another Xigatek but the Scythe looks mean! Reading a few reviews it seems better then the 212 Plus. Plus the egg has $8 off combo deal with the 2500k. Sythe 2100 " Scythe Mugen 2"

Buddy at work since I start in this department has been talking the water talk. But right now I am not looking to spend over $50 on a cooler. Let alone $250 on it! He right now is telling me to go Corsair H50 in push pull and be done with it. But the Scythe seems to be less noisy (hate noise).

The H50 is alright and good for a mild OC. It's easier to clean overall. The H70 is a better unit overall and will do a good OC if you like. Or just run with the H70 with quieter fans and no OC but enjoy the quietness.

The Scythe is attractive, takes up less room and is quieter. It will take less energy to run as well. The only down side is the dust bunnies wanting to live in those tight and deep fin channels after some time.
