Quieter? Maybe quieter than some, but the fan the stock HSF uses is not particularly quiet (RPM goes up to ~3K, so I hear).Originally posted by: shredman
I couldn't find it in the review, but I assume the "AMD Stock Cooler" they used was the newer heatpipe version. According to their tests, the stock cooler performed incredibly well and actually bested most of the pricey coolers! It was quieter than all the after market coolers and in an overclocked condition it only lagged 5C behind the Star Ice...
I was considering an AC Freezer Pro 64, but after seeing this review, maybe I just need to get one of these AMD Heatpipe coolers!
