:confused:
I have a question;
The cooler master 830 chassis for which I have changed my last name to Pavlov, has now been released to the buying public (about $300-350US shipped contiguous 48). Quite like me I continue to read the reviews and specs that are available and one continues to stick out prominently and I would like another opinion on this.
1. The weight spec on the spanking new CM Stacker 830 Aluminum Full Tower Case is 40 lbs. The shipper mentions that it is considered ?oversized? and additional shipping costs will be necessary to have this case delivered.
2. The weight spec on the original CM Stacker SECC (steel) chassis is 14.7Kg or 32.4 lbs.
The question being, was I mistaken in assuming that an aluminum computer case full of holes should weigh less than a steel frame case with an aluminum bezel? AND if not, why should this new stacker be heavier than its predecessor.

not sure about the weight, but i don't live in the lower 48, or the 50. i just bought one today and including USPS shipping from newegg, it came in under $300. it was only in stock at newegg for a few hours today, but when it comes back, they offer lower 48 shipping for $25.
