COOLER MASTER SILVER CAVALIER 4 HTPC W/ 300W PSU $59.99

I don't like that the removable lid includes the sides... lids like that are seemingly always a PITA to put back on... but I do like that it holds a full ATX board.

looks nice. would say I like this better than my overture, 'cept for the stupid 60mm fans, which every mfr likes to put in all their htpc cases. why why why?

I have this case for my HTPC.

I am getting freezes and blue screens.
Upon reboot it hangs and cant find the HDD. I have trouble shot it down to the Power supply and it is a proprietary PS.
So say bye to the case. I got a new one and havent had any problems.

Proprietary PSU might be OK for ANTEC, but a MACRON Power PSU? Anyone know how good these are?

I read somewhere (so it must be true) that coolermaster will be releasing a new version that does not have a proprietary PSU. Might be why these are on sale....

On www.sundialmicro.com I see they now have the cavalier 4 with a 350w PSU for $99. Looks like it is still proprietary though. DOH. Hey that new Lian Li 800 HTPC looks whacked...

This case @ NEWEGGhas a 350 Watt power. Unlike the description for the 300 Watt case, this one does not mention the proprietary PS.

Never mind. Sundialmicro indicates that the 350 watt is proprietary also.
