Maybe like the Centurion 534?

He's pointing out something that could cost you guys $15.
You'll have to wait a few days for that price, it looks like.

No, it's threadcrapping if you just don't stand up and salute the deal......heaven forbid anyone points out some PERTINENT information about a potential rebate problem.

I, too, am wondering why ClubIT's page for the case says the rebate dates are 1/26/06-2/24/06 while the rebate FORM has valid purchase dates of 2/3/06-2/24-06.

Of course, there is the stated $10 rebate vs. the $15 rebate that shows, too. It'd seem logical to either call ClubIT and verify the rebate or wait a few days for the valid dates. I'm all for saving $$, but hate to think someone's going to get denied because he/she bought too early.

That doesn't take away from the fact that this is a hot deal. I'm a senior member while you're just a member, so I have a better understanding of what constitutes a hot deal. Plus, this deal has free shipping.

Little boy, I've was shopping LONG before the best part of you dripped down your mother's leg. And I didn't know it took being able to post crap on the internet to make one able to spot a "hot deal." I suppose that Thermaltake Tenor case I'm looking at purchasing for $71 shipped isn't one..........*SIGH*

So suppose you, oh mighty senior member, show me where to purchase a Tenor case for a lower price than $71. I'll forego this Transformer case, thank you very much.

The Tenor case is not a good case, therefore, it's not a good deal. The location of the CD tray is horrible. Thermaltake is known for making questionable products and I'd be wary of buying anything manufactured by them. The Tenor is a perfect example of this. Don't be cheap. Check out www.pcalchemy.com if you're looking for quality HTPC cases. I'd recommend the Silverstone LM17.

It appears in some cases a senior status comes from repeatedly posting useless comments.

I bought this case back in October at SVC for $75 picked up locally so at $69 it isnt that great of a price change until you add on rebates.

Main reason why I bought this case was that it looked cool. Nothing really too special about this case: Airflow is decent, build quality is pretty good but definitely not as good as a thermaltake case, rather than a window it has two mesh thingies on the side, plenty of room to work with your parts, and overall I really liked this case but I really think I was better off with an old Chieftec case.

Thermaltake is the leader in case manufacturing and makes the best cases available today. Newegg has their famous Tsunami case available for $105 after rebate along with free 3-day shipping. This is the best case in the world today.
Funny stuff.

Dude, haven't you learned anything about this punk yet? He's around 14, has no life outside his bedroom, and his story changes whenever it suits him and the situation....about as fast as other people change underwear. I'd have said "as fast as he changes underwear," but I'd be afraid he only showers once a week at best and waits to change drawers until he cannot tell the yellow from the brown spots.

First, let me apologize for pooping in your thread, but while several of us started out by pointing out ONLY that the rebate form was mislabeled/misdated as to the dates the purchase of the case was good for vs. when you posted the "deal", I don't feel we've been pooping here considering your immature responses......but then again, since I'd seen you post as "the notebook," I guess it can only be expected.

As far as Thermaltake making "questionable products," think again, or are Anandtech's reviews of several of their products just wrong, or do you have such great and vast knowledge that you know more than anyone else? Anandtech reviewed the Thermaltake Tsunami and gave it a glowing review. (My current case, btw.)

The following was taken from Anandtech's review of the Tsunami:
Thermaltake has outdone themselves with their Tsunami Dream line of cases. It topped the charts in our thermal benchmarks, beating every case that we have looked at in the past few months. All of our temperature readings came out to be less than those of the competitors mainly due to the inclusion of dual 120mm fans and single 90mm fan.

Not only did it come first in thermal benchmarks, but also in features. With removable HDD carriages and an almost tool-less design, the Tsunami brings functionality to the table with performance, something many other cases cannot offer.

With a price tag of around $100, the Tsunami is a great buy. We have not seen any all-aluminum cases with features such as tool-less expansion card slots and drive bays, as well as the external look and feel, along with the security features for such a low price. We would definitely recommend Thermaltake's Tsunami Dream over any of the other aluminum cases on our charts.

So, they make junk, eh? I wonder why, also, the Tenor has gotten quite nice reviews from other sites, too......from Phoronix, Red&Blackness, A1 Electronics, among others.

I looked at the Silverstone cases.........and, btw, there is NO Silverstone LM17, but there is an LC17. (You really ought to read what you write sometimes.) But I don't think it is worth twice the price of the Tenor, honestly. I'm not one to have to impress with how much I've spent on objects, rather I try to get the best value for my hard-earned money.

I've been buying computer cases since the mid-1990's and after having been through many, many cases from many manufacturers (Antec: like the P160, Sonata, and others; Thermaltake Tsunami; Chenming Dragon, a couple from In Win WAY back in the day, Enlight with their trusty 7221, and many others), I trust my own judgement and really discount yours.....esp. when EVERY case you post as a deal suddenly becomes "the best case out there," despite posting that same thing about another case a month prior.....and then suddenly calling the previously "best case's" manufacturer a junk manufacturer now.

Finally, you have to know what the case is going to be used for before you can begin to comment on what is or is not appropriate for another. I, in this case, am looking for a desktop case to replace my Tsunami tower. I'm just getting tired of a tower and since I put my computer on my desk, would just prefer a desktop variety now. I'm using a real office desk (cannot stand the things that try to pass themselves off as computer desks these days.....either they have no drawers anywhere, are made of pressed wood chips, or are just too damned expensive for what they give), solid walnut with 6 drawers......measures 33" x 60".

So I have plenty of desktop real estate to house a desktop case, my Klipsch speakers, my little 17" LCD, and have plenty of room left. My laser and inkjet printers are on a separate stand beside the desk......converted a smallish TV stand into a printer stand that gives me two shelves left for paper and other odds-n-ends.

And another btw........the "crappy CD tray" location you refer to on the Tenor is probably the bottom of the three, a place that Thermaltake themselves state will not fit an optical drive with some motherboards.....and that space was more designed for their Media Lab VFD panel.......but then again, you probably never bothered to actually go to their site and READ, did you? Thought not.

Whew..........talked too much!!! Bye!!!

In support of what hummin said earlier (about changing his story not about changing his underwear) I have linked some of his earlier ramblings.

Cooler Master RC-533-SWN1 AMMO PC Case is the best case in the world.
or
Gigabyte Aurora hands down. The best case out there.
or
Thermaltake Tsunami is considered the best case of all time.
or
Armor is the #2 case in the world. The Tsunami is #1.

Two of his "Best cases in the world" were Thermaltake. I think he is up to (at least) four best cases in the world.

BTW, "the notebook" is not his only past name ... do a search on former member Lowenbotten.

There seem to be a lot of comments and mischaracterizations about previous statements I've made about TWO Thermaltake cases. I was ONLY referring to the Tsunami and Armor. They were recommended as cases for certain users in certain threads, but I never implied they were greater than anything else out there. The AMMO is making waves in the PC case world as a unique and daring case. I'm proud to say I have one and it will be the last case I ever own for my gaming rig.

Thermaltake is a leading manufacturer, but that doesn't make them great. They get people to buy with their glitzy looks, lights, etc. The Tsunami and Armor are the only 2 that break away from this, and that's only because they are a rebadged Cooler Master Stacker case and an Antec case (forget the specific model #).

Hummin, you tell me I must be 14, but then go on to say things like, "about as fast as other people change underwear. I'd have said '...as fast as he changes underwear,' but I'd be afraid he only showers once a week at best and waits to change drawers until he cannot tell the yellow from the brown spots." Yeah, that's real mature. That sounds like name calling from someone in high school.

And the comments about posting as a notebook, I can only ask, what the **** are you talking about????

once again, you contradict yourself and make yourself look stupid. I guess what you implied by the previous post is that there are companies out there that make "best-er" cases?

As a diamond member talking to a senior member (seems to be your criteria for intelligence), I suggest you quit now and stop making the hole deeper.

LOL. That thing SERIOUSLY looks like it fell out of Voltron's ass. Maybe Tranzor Z, Voltron, the Power Rangers robot, and Gundam had a mass orgy and that was the abortion.

This coolio guy is the kid who gets beat up at school by not just the bulies, but by everyone else too, and nobody feels bad cause he's such an obnoxious a$$.. He's like that guy in the Fed Ex commercial - the "French Benefits" guy..

Oh and it looks like I am the longest running member here(though I started visiting this site in '98), and a very low post count, though not many are really worth much, but I've been "hot dealing" since the mid 90s as well, and bought my first case in the EIGHTIES, and in 1983 disassembled and reassembled my IBM PC 4.77Mhz 64K 360K floppy w/ no hard drive so don't give us some bull about senior status..

Wow I'm special..

Rebate is now showing as $15 but shipping has been added ($5).

On a side note: Coolio hasn't been bumping this "greatest case of all time " like he usually does to his threads. Makes me think that he must have been asked to leave AT again. We can only hope.
