Can there really be that much difference?

Corsair master Fan 120mm and 140mm.

From my Amazon Review:

These fans are made of really high quality, dense plastics, that feel and sound dense, not tinny when you tap them. However, after actually looking at the specs, something I always do but this time I failed to do before buying these fans (their Cooler Master, right?), these fans are pure garbage.

Additionally, after using them for a short while, they developed a vibration in 140mm motor bearings and a howling acoustic noise in the 120mm.

EVIDENCE

Here is how the CM MMF120 fans compare to Enermax and Noctua:

CoolerMaster MF120
650 - 1800 RPM
47 CFM (no minimum rating)
1.6 mm-H2O
30 dBA
MTTF: 160,000

Enermax Squ120 Specs:
300-1500 RPM
68 CFM (44% higher than CM MF120)
1.9 mm-H2O (18% higher than Cm MF120)
23 dBA (23% less dBA)
MTTF: 100, 000

Noctua Redux 120
450-1700 RPM
70 CFM (49% higher than CM MF120)
25 dBA (17% lower than CM MF120)
2.83 mm H₂O (75% higher than CM MF120)
MTTF: 150, 000

CONCLUSION
Bad acoustics and internal quality. Garbage. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I swear if Noctua ever comes out with a good looking RGB fan, and I need RGB, I'll never look back. But, since this new build is my last RGB/Display build, I'll probably always go Noctua from here out.

My first ever RGB / Display build, and 2nd to last: https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/anandtech-member-case-gallery.159088/post-40867566

A possible option for RGB or ARGB with Noctua fans might be the Phanteks Halo units. They are lights-only thin frames you can mount on the fan frame to give lighting effects to any fan. Available in both plain RGB and ARGB versions.

Actually I have 4 Noctua 140 Redux fans with the Phanteks Halos on them. They don't have side lighting though, and in my new case, that's aesthetically important. You can see them in the image below in my old build, bottom x2 and front x2.

Damn, I think this is my last ARGB build. Just too much Bull****. I think I want to build a system with no RGB at all, just clean, nice looking interior, maybe with one strip hidden to just light the case white so you can see the nonRGB install.

After testing my new build, I have a vibration that is transferring down through the case and then through the silicon foot pads and audibly into the table. I have a suspicion it's the bottom CM 140! What a waste of money.

There are only 3 fans in my new build, rad fan MF120, Bottom fan MF140, and back fan, Noctua 140, and I know it isn't the Noc fan.

The bottom MF140 doesn't do anything except circulate air, which doesn't do anything for cooling, and is only their for aesthetics. I can take it out if it's unbalanced. Sorry for the bad pic. I don't really even have RAM lit up or anything else, thanks to Giagbytes' and GSkills RGB programs not acting right lately. That, and I want to make sure it's mechanical sound before I do anything else. Just got it up last night.
