Cooler Master Cosmos Case

This looks exactly like what I'm after. Basically a Stacker 830 with the PSU on the bottom. Can't wait for this one! Hopefully they got the cross-flow positioned so a larger card can fit in there. I thought I read about some of the 8800 series not fitting.
 
sorry to bump an old thread but this case looks NICE I especially like the HD mounting trays. Even though it's on their page knowing CoolerMaster it will get delayed and we won't see it for awhile. $200 is more than I've ever paid for a case but I'm really interested in seeing this sucker up close.

Antec's kind of had that for awhile http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=15900 The CM may have some specific features you're looking for. I dunno. I just thought I'd mention it.

I'm familiar with the ninehundred, but that case sucks a lot of dust in (no filters) and is lacking the eSATA port. This case and the Stacker are considerably larger, too.

I can't wait till this Christmas (building new rig). This is going to be my case (unless something better comes along).

I have the Ammo, for the price it's a great case but I wouldn't put it next to any uber case. I guess for 65 bucks it's the best case out there 🙂 It's weird looking that's for sure.
 
I am resurrecting this thread since I have been drooling over the photos for the Maximum PC Dream Machine 2007. I always fall in love with the hardware in these articles since they make it look so good....I know this case is due to come out in the fall and have read the reviews out there. Looks are as important as functionality for cases (for me at least) and I really dig the way it looks.

Are there any other concerns besides hard drive cooling? I probably will be doing my first water cooling build this fall - looks like there is plenty of room for any other cooling options.

As far as the water cooling setup for DM 2007 (hardware link), the amount of money seems high, comments? Maybe a bit too much for a first time watercooling build.

BTW I already have a Dell 2707 and Gigaworks speakers. I won't have quite the budget the mag had - as with anything else I like to pick and coose from various articles and forums what will make up my build. 🙂
 
Eh...not sure I like that case. Cooler Master's trying too hard to look great. I would still take a Centurion 534 over that.
 
I've loved my Praetorian ever since I got it. Pull out mobo tray is just an awesome feature to have. I'm wondering why no case manufacturers are embracing this concept. For a while almost all the new cases had that feature. Now they're falling out of favor. As I've only read the first review, had the case had a pull out motherboard tray he could have mounted all of his components to the board easier. I like this case, but I absolutely love my Praetorian for the removeable mobo tray. If there is a larger case with a removeable motherboard tray I'd like to hear about it.

You don't see many cases with mobo drawers because it's expensive to combine that feature with 120mm rear fan as you have to make the whole case wider - only two have done it that I'm aware of.

Ahhh, thanks Zepper. Didn't think about the room needed for the rear fan.

This case is on my radar though. It'd be kinda neat to have something hard wired into the hard drive bays so all you'd have to do is slide the hard drive into the bay. Make it truly hot swappable.
 
The CM iTower 930 (RC-930) has 4 hot-swap SATA bays and costs a lot less than yet another in the Stacker series.

howdy all,

up til i had seen this case i had been considering a silverstone or a lian li case for my first build. i want a quality case that will last years of upgrades and rebuilds. i am currently using a pc bought brand new from gateway 9 years ago. i have decided that my next pc will be built by me. fairly excited about it actually.

i have been reading the reviews on the cm cosmos and one of the reviews states that you can take the intake fan and mount it under the hdd rack instead of under the psu. now this got me thinking that instead moving the intake fan from under the psu to under the hdd rack why not add another intake fan. this way i would have two intake fans, one under the psu and one under the hdd rack.

that would give a total of five fans, two intake and three exhaust fans. seems to me that this would help keep the psu and harddrives cool as well as adding more cool air to the inside of the case.

your thought's are welcome.
