I have the aerogate 3 that looks exactly like this, but I would like to be able to cool my raptor and have the software.....geezzzzzz i dont know!
 
Crap.. I just purchased 2 cooler master hd coolers (the ones without the lcd).. for $29.99 or something (they were 10bucks off at newegg)..

I wonder if cooler master is fazing out their hd cooling for new ones?... wierd
 
I would've bought this in a second last week, instead I rigged up an 80mm in front of my hd cage. It's probably quieter like this anyway. Plus I don't lose any 5.25 drive space
 
Not to thread crap, but this seems silly to me. You're putting your drive in a little enclosed box, which will make it run hotter. So the box has fans, which will make the drive somewhat cooler - and a temprature display to alert you if it overheats, which it wouldn't be doing anyway if you hadn't put it in a little enclosed box.

It does look cool though, and the price is right.

Looks like about 1/3 cooler vs bare drive at load. Hmm... :shocked:

It's called a "heatsink".

BTW, unless you're leaving them sitting out on the desktop, aren't you already putting them in little boxes with fans, aka your computer case?
 
If it was black I'd pick one up, I don't want a huge silver thing around all my black stuff. I don't want my case to get pissed...😛
 
That's my problem... I want black, and knowing the silver is $10, I don't want to spend $30 ea on the black ones. Guess I'm just a cheap arse.
 
I picked up this coolermaster model a while back and love it. The only downside to this is the software used to monitor temp and control fans.....its not very good. Otherwise, it looks really nice in the case, the cooler interface works really nice which helps off set the weak software. Definitely worth the price.
