I have a 12700K and DDR4 on the way. Pretty much decided on the MSI PRO Z690-A for the motherboard. I had decided on the Thermalright Frost Commander 140 as the cooler, but it seems I cannot get the 1700 bracket for it. Without paying the Noctua tax is there another cooler I should be looking at that comes with the 1700 bracket? I had also looked at the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 280. I can sometimes find the 1700 bracket in stock on Amazon. Although may case doesn't really support it. It is a modded Cheiftec Dragon. The front does support two 140mm fans. The problem is the mounts are to low in the case. It looks like it needs about 20mm below the fans to account for the radiator sticking out below them. My bottom fan is almost setting on the bottom of the case. I don't feel like modding the case anymore. I could maybe design and 3D print an offset bracket to move it up. That may or may not create some wind noise as the fans would no longer be flush against the octagonal cut outs. It would be like a 140mm to 120mm adaptor, but this would be two 140mm to 140mm adaptors that move the mounting holes up vertically probably around 15mm. There is also the fact that it would be blowing warmer air toward the gpu. Maybe, I should just wait on Thermalright?
