Coolbits Versus RivaTuner

Whatever type of an overclock you can obtain with Coolbits would it be the same with RivaTuner?

I heard some people say they where able to get a better overclock with RivaTuner.

Are there any advantages to doing an overclock with RivaTuner over Coolbits?

I personally use Riva more options in the menus and when I used coolbits before it messed up some custom graphics options I set for games, Riva allows you to OC separately and it has way more options to play with.

Yeah I see a lot of people using RivaTuner and the Atitool also so I'm going to mess with both, plus I was told the atitool has a better stability showing the smallest of artifacts over 3DMark.

I am a moron when it comes to RivaTuner. I just use Coolbits. It's easier.

I like coolbits better as well. I really appreciate the detect optimal clocks feature. I call it the start point button since that's how I use it.

Well I used RivaTuner then I rounded off the numbers with Atitool because RivaTuner doesn't round off all numbers to odd and even. Got my stock 7950 GT KO Superclocks from 600/1450 to 660/1630 without any volt mod, not bad if I do say so.

Yup! Riva is the greatest, but I ALWAYS use ATiTool to test my clocks (it is the most accurate error detection test). Got my 7950GT from 600/1450 to 650/1600. That thing OCs like a charm on stock; I have a Pentium D 820 (very hot) and my card never goes above 75C on a load.

Yes I think my 660/1630 stock without volts is quite good.

I used both for my 7900GS to see if I could get more out of one or the other. Both got me to about the same top clock speed. Coolbits is easier, Riva has a lot more options.
